Who says yesterday was a bad day?

  • Mar. 14th, 2009 at 10:21 AM

I am happy that I am going to Califur, Rainfurrest, and Further Confusion. Still hoping I can get the time off for FC, but I do not forsee a problem with that.

Now I might forsee a problem with moving to San Diego this year. We will see what happens when it gets closer to the date. Between Califur and Rainfurrest, I should know where I stand on that issue. If I do have to change it, most likely I will schedule it before March 2010.

Other than that, things are ok. Work is good. Saving up my money for a good cause. Here is to hoping I can get a fursuit in 2010. Take care all.

Went to go see Watchmen yesterday. I found it to be a decent film overall. Kinda slow. Then I went over to hang with Tripp and Phor. We watched a lot of videos on YouTube including this one which I found out who the drummer is. Well one of them anyways. XD

Take care all. -Hugs-

Outing

  • Feb. 27th, 2009 at 9:42 PM

Went out to a place called South Bay Park. Lots of red rocks there I took pics of. Went with Dacks, VulpinePilot, and my pet Keyote. We all had a good time though. Only downside is that it was really windy so I really didn't get to take a lot of pics with Keyote for fear he would blow away. Click on the link below to enjoy. Take care.

Denver Furmeet

  • Feb. 27th, 2009 at 12:44 AM

Against my better judgement, I decided to give this one last try. You know what, it turned out ok. There were some suiters there as well. I even brought out Keyote a few times and there were some that loved him. Some went to the point of sticking their fingers in his muzzle. Why do they do this? At least he got a cookie.

Will I be going to this meet again? It depends on how I feel in the coming days after tomorrow. I am not a big fan of meets due to the fact I get scared in big crowds where I know no one and thus become a wall flower. I prefer to start small with one or two or a few and go from there.

What amazes me is that I belong to a pack now. Something beyond my wildest dreams which I found weird for this lone wolf. -Hugs his packmates- I am so lucky to have you guys and I will return soon. That I guarantee.

You know you want some.

Getting back into the swing of things

  • Feb. 11th, 2009 at 5:46 PM

I took some photos of my pet Keyote and posted them which I haven't done in a long time due to the fact of me being somewhat depressed cause of being unemployed. Now that I am working again, it's time for Keyote to be filmed again. Not sure as of yet and I am glad that he has been patient with me. Stay tuned.

Update

  • Feb. 10th, 2009 at 11:04 AM

Ok now that I have had my job for about a week, I thought I might let you know what is going on. Basically, I like it even if it does get boring at times. It is good money which I am very happy about so I can pay my bills.

I am going to try to work more than 40 hours a week so I can save up my money for stuff like a fursuit, going to cons, and move out of my mom's house.

I do want to let all my friends know that my work schedule is erratic and extreme, like the weather here. If you need to get a hold of me, leave a comment or a message and I will respond back to you.

I am looking into getting some time off for Califur and Rainfurrest and it does seem possible. I want to go to MFF, but we will see what's in the cards for that. I am also hoping to attend and volunteer for RMFC, but it seems that is still up in the air due to their debt they have accumulated.

I hope you all are doing well. Take care all.

I GOT A JOB!!!! XD

  • Feb. 4th, 2009 at 9:49 PM

Yup. I am so happy. Even though it may not be what I want, it's ok. Going to be working security for a international company and my post will be -drumroll- Lockheed Martin.

I am hoping with this job that I can gain some time and eventually transfer to anywhere I want to go. Now it is time to make plans for Califur and Rainfurrest and a fursuit. XD

Take care all.

FC09 report

  • Jan. 29th, 2009 at 4:34 PM

Yes, I know this is late, but you know the old saying.

Now I went to FC last year and had a so-so time. This year really made up for it. I was worried for my friends that I was hanging out with since this was there first con and in my experience as well as some furs, it is best to start small. It turned out being great for them and for that I am happy.

I did go to a few panels that I wanted to go to. Some I missed. Met some furiends that I know of online, some I missed meeting. I even danced on Friday and Saturday night which I haven't done in a while.

Only things that disappointed me was that I couldn't stay all day Sunday, the motel room, no sushi eaten, and that Denny's needs more food items on the menu.

All in all it was the best con that I ever attended and that it tops every con I have been to. Even the non-fur ones. I am planning to go next year to their new home and I pray to have a fursuit for that event. I hope you all had fun and good times as well. Take care.

2008 Year in Review

  • Dec. 31st, 2008 at 6:19 PM

It's that time again so here we go. Me in 2008.

January: Started off the year with friends at a gay hip hop club (yes they exist) called Numbers which was up the street from me when I used to live in Hillcrest back in San Diego. This was the time I was worried about getting laid off for their was a rumor circulating around my job of letting some people go next month. Flew to FC08 which becomes my first furcon.

February: I still have a job! For the first time in my life, I am not alone on Valentine's Day. X3

March: My friends ask me to move in with them to which I say yes for I wish to finally leave the gay club and bar scene for good. I also buy my third car, first new one.

April: Move out of my old place and move in with my friends.

May: Begin a project for my one year anniversary with my bf.

June: Got the news I was laid off from my job and for the first time in my life, I am receiving unemployment. Despite that, I end up going to Califur IV.

July: Celebrate one year with my baby. Celebrate San Diego Gay Pride at the parade. Go to Comic Con 2008.

August: Making plans to move back home if I cannot find a job by the time my birthday hits next month.

September: Celebrate my birthday and I also have a job.

October: Finally found a fur chat that I can belong too. Also, I got to meet furs who are in San Diego and have the best Halloween that I have ever had.

November: Receive news after Thanksgiving that they are cutting my hours more at my current job with the elimination of said job at the end of the year. I go forward with my plan to move back home.

December: Packed up everything that I could haul and set out on my first road trip to move back home to live with my mom. Meet new furs back home as well as attend a couple of furmeets. Celebrate the holidays with a couple of them for dinner. Spending New Years at home with a slice of Oreo cream pie. X3

Well, that's it. Month by month. This wasn't one of my greatest years. The best thing that happend was that I got to finally make friends in the fur fandom after a year of coming out of the furrie closet. The worst thing that happend was leaving my furiends that I knew in San Diego behind. I hope to return to California someday soon.

I hope everyone has a good New Years Day and let us pray that 2009 will definitely be better than this one was. With that said, enjoy and take care. -hugs- Happy New Year!

I am no longer homesick this year

This is something I listen to around this time. Listen and enjoy and Happy Holiday.

Aurora Furmeet

  • Dec. 14th, 2008 at 12:12 PM

Well I really wasn't looking forward to going, but a certain someone pushed me out the door. Now I have been to a couple of furmeets in San Diego and they all ended badly cause I would leave being disappointed that I didn't get to meet any, even when I did introduce myself to others. This time was different.

I did chat online with a couple of furs before I showed up when I joined the Colofurs on Yahoo so that I wouldn't be terribly alone when I got there. I arrived and basically found myself a booth for my lonesome. I had both the coordinator and a co-coordinator introduce themselves to me as well as show me around. I also met the ones I chatted online before I came here. Got a sketch from one of them and I met others that they knew and got to meet some famous furs who live in the Colorado area.

I wish I could have hung out with some of the furs after the meet was over, but the snow came in and covered the landscape. Since I was on the other side of the city, I thought it would be best to take myself home than get lost in the snow trying to find the place where we could all get together to play games and watch movies. Needless to say I missed "Horton Hears a Who" which I still have yet to see.

I do plan to go to others cause this really isn't the only one here in Denver. There is like 3 or 4 others that operate here. I really had a good time and I hope more will be on the way for me. Take care all.

Temping

  • Dec. 11th, 2008 at 6:15 AM

Well after being back home for less than week, I have some work. It might not be job yet, but it is something to make me money. They say that next year will be better for jobs that fit my skills. I do hope so.

I hate being unemployed and not beoing able to work. Yeah, I will admit their are times I like to sit around and do nothing all day, but that gets boring after a while. Plus, I have bills to pay. I will say that I wish I was still receiving unemployment so I wouldn't have to worry so much about my finances. On a good note, I am sleeping and eating better. I just have to watch my weight now. You know how mother's are. XP

I am looking forward to this Saturday where I will go to the Aurora furmeet that is held weekly here in Denver. I hope to meet some more nice furs since I met a couple already through the local fur group here. Wish me luck on both events on my life this week. Take care all.

First Day of snow

  • Dec. 9th, 2008 at 8:24 AM

Well it has been a while since I have seen it. Last time I saw something like this is when I went to Sapporo for the ice festival. Damn place was cold with snow all around, but they had wonderful ice sculptures as well as the best ramen I have ever had in Japan.

It's nice to see the white stuff. Espacially when it coats the land making everything clean beautiful. I hope to take some pics soon once the fog has lifted off the mountains. I hope all my friends in Cali are keeping warm. X3
